Are humans monogamous ? Why do we have marriage ?

Marriage is a sacred commitment between a loving couple, who want to dedicate their lives to each other. We get married out of love and desire to start a family or pursue other family oriented goals. Some couples don't want children, but have deep love for each other. While married couples do cheat sometimes, that would suggest something has gone wrong in that union that is not being addressed properly. Maybe people don't fully grasp, for better or for worse. Maybe they aren't responsible or they want to have it both ways. Couples can stay faithful, but all marriages require daily nurturing, commitment, and finding new ways to keep that spark alive. Can you get bored with the same person over a long period of time? If course, but cheating isn't the answer. If there's still love there, that couple needs to work on rekindling their romance. It all depends, of course, on the problems going on. If it's physical abuse, or along those lines, safety should be a top priority. Marriage is a huge commitment, one that shouldn't be taken lightly.

To have a stable and loving environment to raise children.
