How do you confront a changed partner?

By 'changed', I mean he has stopped taking the time to elaborate on the things he used to mention to me. He used to be so romantic, and now the "spark" is gone.

We're both tired, and I'm sure he isn't seeing or sleeping with anyone else--but I just feel this dying down. Im getting so bored and just tired of seeing the same lame shit every fucking day. I do want to fix things, but how do I let him know without making it seem as if though I want to split?
Have you changed in your behaviours toward him since the beginning as well? Could it be that his changes, reflect your own?
We all change, it's how we adapt to the changes that makes the difference.
And if you are going to talk to him (I find "confront" has such a charge and negative connotation), make it about you, and how you feel about the changes, instead of making it about things he has done "wrong".

Sit with him and explain how you feel and ask for his help with yours to put some extra effort into it...date nights, special dinners, quality time spent together..
first , look to yourself. be honest about your own shortcomings in the situation. then, be honest with him about your feelings , ask him for help.
Just tell him how you feel. Be sure you tell him explicitly that you want to try to mend things. From there, try to find different things to do with him as far as dates go. You need excitement in a relationship to keep things interesting, but don't grow dependent on the fun of unknowns to keep you two together. It should be about you two when it comes down to it.

Do you still go on dates?
We used to at least twice a week, but not lately.

@tiffanyandasaltshaker: plan one for something you want to do and have this conversation with him. Tell him you both need this to remind each other why you started dating in the first place.

You say to him what you just said here.
