No. You don't need to be constantly cuddling and touching to be a caring and happy couple.

b) you can't move freely as you sleep

I’m reading your replies and now your post here and I’m wondering if you need constant attention and validation. What if they just lay the other way because they don’t want to smell farts? I mean it could happen…..does that mean the person who turns away from the farts is cheating?????

It happened me before with a person and I found out she was cheating . It's even wrong of me saying that to you cause it's in the past and I've no bad thoughts about her , but I be afraid it would happen again

Maybe it's just a matter of getting sore limbs from lying one way for a prolonged period, and needing to move around.
And as for cuddling, it's great for a while, but I have what I call the "three arm theory": in the long run, at most three of your four arms will be comfortable! That has been our experience anyway, so we have always had to keep shifting positions.
