Are u still wearing your Covid-19 mask in public ?

I am. So now they are saying if you do have the vaccination its ok if you do not wear your mask.
And now they are saying the mask mandate is being lifted for everyone. Even indoors. Make up your freaking mind.
My mask is still being worn. I am not falling for that sh-t ! ☺️ Comments.
ExtremeNext · 31-35
I think ugly people, should be made to wear a mask covid or no covid
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@ExtremeNext Then keep yours on then. Mr. ☺️
Penny · 46-50, F
stores around where i live still all have signs that say to wear one or dont come in. i think if the signs were gone id stop wearing one. they are a pain. it can be hard to breathe and they make my glasses fog up. still. i think people should still mask up just as a precaution. i dont think we're out of the woods yet and it would be awful if they removed the mask mandate and there was an awful spike like in India or something
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@Penny yeah its really really bad over there in India
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Penny I agree. I think people should just keep it on for now. At least until the end of the Summer just in case. But I would think it is safe to not wear one outside. Its not really necessary especially if the weather is hot.
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
The new recommendations include more situations where you don't have to wear a mask (provided you're vaccinated) but still includes many situations where it recommends wearing a mask even if you're fully vaccinated.

example;
-You can resume activities without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

-f you travel, you should still take steps to protect yourself and others. You will still be required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations.

@EuphoricTurtle Well said.
I'm still wearing my mask and i will continue to do so until the mandate is lifted because you can't tell who's been vaccinated (i have) and i don't want to make people uncomfortable or fearful.
MellyMel22 · F
[c=BF0080]Yep, NY supposedly isn’t changing that. I hope not, seeing how many vaccinated people are infecting others. [/c]
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@MellyMel22 They will soon though this summer in NYC.
MellyMel22 · F
@Zonuss [c=BF0080]I guess we’ll see, but I sure hope not. [/c]

Nope - State lifted the mandate.

I've got vaxed, there are plenty of appointments available for others to, but they are choosing against it (which is fine - I respect that)

It's time to move forward and stop living in fear.
Keeper · M
@smileylovesgaming I understand, but the probability is extremely low. Plus I already tested positive around the Holidays.

I'll take those odds any day
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Keeper What if its about being safe and not fear ? ☺️
Keeper · M
@Zonuss I can protect myself/family and friends by getting vaxed. It's really the "safest" option I can provide.

I don't feel obligated to continue to live a sheltered life and continue to wear a mask 24/7 for those who do not want to get vaxed (in order to protect them). It may come off as a dickish thing to say, but it's really that simple IMO.

I think there is a "fear" aspect to it for a certain percentage of folk, regardless of what mandates/restrictions are put in place. It will always be there for them.
JustNik · 51-55, F
I wear it when I’m around a lot of people. I want to visit my parents more this summer and even a mild case could cause serious problems for them so I’ll be careful. Where I’m at, it looks like a lot are choosing to do the same. Where my folks live, I saw there were very few bothering with a mask and I even got some eye rolls for having mine on when I picked up lunch.
deadmoon · 31-35, F
I will continue to wear my mask in businesses that will continue to mandate mask-wearing and ditch it in places that will no longer require it. I'm fully vaccinated now so I'm not super concerned about catching COVID any longer.
summersong · F
I’m fully vaxxed so I do not wear mine when I am around other people who are fully vaxxed or outdoors unless I am really close to strangers. Everywhere else I do because there are a billion people here and it’s just not that big a deal to wear it.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
better safe than sorry
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
The mask mandate is in effect for another month here, and past that it sounds like many major companies are going to continue requiring them for a while longer. My work hasn’t even hinted at when we can stop wearing them.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Zaphod42 Just keep it on for safe keeping.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
in stores yes but outside hardly , i seldom meet people outside and i've only had one Vaccine shot so far
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@FurryFace Wal Mart is saying that masks are not necessary. Im like yeah right.
AbbySvenz · F
Well, if Wal-Mart says it’s ok…..🙄 @Zonuss
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@Zonuss people should show that they've had both vaccines otherwise wear the mask
We’re required to wear masks when out in public. That includes parks .

The only places that are open right now are grocery stores, pharmacies and liquor stores.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@submissivelittlewoman Wow. Its about time for all of this to end.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
If you’re wearing a mask any time you weren’t forced, you were tricked
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@th3r0n Do you believe that this was all a big fat lie ?
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@Zonuss Yes and no, I had the virus but it’s not much worse than the flu, in fact I think I had one flu in my life that was about as bad

It is definitely a lie that we have a pandemic going on and that it is so bad, it’s not worth all this mess at all
Byron8by7 · M
I will continue to wear my mask(s), even though the local mandate has just been lifted.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Byron8by7 be miserable your choice.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
All areas are affected differently and it should be left up to the locals
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@MarineBob True.
msros · F
No one even knows, lol. I have never seen the world so confused before.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@msros Yes. The media is trying to trick us all into believing what they are reporting.
Baremine · 70-79, C
The mask mandate only screwed up the economy. If you read how the mask worked you find it didn't. It was a ploy to see if we would blindly follow their demands. We did and we lost to big brother. BURN THE MASK.
SW-User
@Baremine how do the particles travel?
Baremine · 70-79, C
@SW-User in the air.masks do stop pollen

Zonuss · 41-45, M
JoePourMan · 61-69, M
When we are with family and friends that are also fully vaccinated, we are not wearing masks. In crowded and unknown environments we still are because my wife is considered high risk
Yes, i managed to save my masks in the wreck, thankfully.
Baremine · 70-79, C
Not vaccinated and Fauci can stick the masks. BURN THE MASK.
Baremine · 70-79, C
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
I do, but it's anyway mandatory here subject to a fine. The vaccine hasn't reached most of the population yet. Even if it does I'll keep wearing my mask until herd immunity is reach via vaccine.
