Is nosiness an unattractive quality in a potential partner?

(It's a deal breaker for me. I abhor gratuitous, obsessive, unwarranted intrusiveness.😖)
no, probably not. unless I mistake it for a general curiosity/investigative interest kinda thing

Definitely. You either trust someone or not. If you can't trust them, why be with them?
curiosi · 61-69, F
Getting up in people's business is a sure sign that they have no desire to better themselves. Easier to get your nose out of joint then to look at yourself. NO WAY could I date someone like that.
My initial impression as well! If you're truly living your life and doing something with it, you typically don't spend much time or thought investing energy into what others are or aren't doing. @curiosi

I don't like it in general. Especially not from people I don't know asking crazy shit.
I know. A crush I had on someone instantly evaporated once I realized how nosey the person is.@SW-User

@AnonymouslyYours They're like "Hi. Do you work? "
Why you need a loan or what?

Yes. Everyone is entitled to their privacy and a person who is nosy will make it hard to like them.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Not as long as she's loving about it and not calling me out on it and using it against me and such.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
I'm okay with nosiness, but I will not stand for noisiness.

Yup! Genuine Curiosity is good. Nosiness is a deal beaker!!
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
Certainly not an attractive trait.
SirBenedictTheSecond · 22-25, M
It turns me on!
Thing is....where do you draw the line between nosiness, and intently caring?
SW-User
@OogieBoogie I'm so sorry Oogs. 🥺
I suppose they weren't honest about the level of commitment they wanted?
@SW-User it wasn't commitment ...it was controll.

20 yeaes worth.

I suppose that actually is some kind if commitment in a way .

@OogieBoogie Yikes!
Absolutely it is. It’s also a sign of distrust. I couldn’t live with someone constantly snooping.
Agreed. There's a fine line between curiosity and nosiness. A genuinely curious person takes the time to know someone to build a rapport before asking questions of a more intimate nature. One of those instances of not necessarily what you do but how you do it.@bijouxbroussard
@bijouxbroussard I'm with someone like that. That's why I changed my profile etc. My gf is jealous, she thinks I'm flirting all the time. Yes I flirt, buts all in fun. I'm dedicated to her & her only. I'd give my life 4 her.
@DropTopDig I’ve never understood that kind of thing, especially when one has a loyal partner who’s never strayed. There’s a saying that “those constantly checking under beds and in closets, have hidden there themselves”. 🙁

@sspec I guess that you are correct, but then few, if any, are here looking for a prospective partner on this site.😊
