How long should you wait to meet up with someone from online?

(Who lives relatively close. Without coming off disinterested, or too eager.)

Hmmm....at least a year. By a year you’re either sold or have gut feelings that are usually right.
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@Keepitsimple Yeah... But I stink at social interactions, unless I know you well haha
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@JupiterDreams Most people are uncomfortable. Who likes to be rejected? 😉
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@Keepitsimple Not me. I got enough rejection from ldr men lol

You need to do things like voice call and face time beforehand
Because there are so many fakes out there
Please don’t do it without clear verification.
And I’d say some enough time to get to know the person well and trust them.
But you never know so Even if you decide to meet one
You should tell a family member or a friend who where and when you are gonna meet them just in case
And for a first time it’s best somewhere public

@Moon3624 Thanks! I'll keep that in mind :)

Depends on level of trust. Always meet in a neutral public place..
After Covid19 seems about right to me right now.

When you both feel comfortable with one another. My last 2 partners where people that lived an hour or so away from me originally. I met them online and talked and after a week with one and a few weeks with the other agreed to meet up. I married one and it lasted 6 years in total, the other is 13 months in now.

@ahiyaa
Exactly. Otherwise you risk running out of pies.

@HoraceGreenley 🤭 I love fuck pie
I met someone in a public place after maybe four or five months. I secretly had my roommate already there when I got there. I would've happily waited longer, forever if possible, but wanted to get it done before ep closed.
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@SooperSarah Awww noice :) I hope it turned out alright
@JupiterDreams we're both the ultra quiet and shy type. It was the longest most awkward hour of my life. But, I'm glad I did it.

Isn't it just best to discuss it with that person?
Classified · M
@JupiterDreams Oh they are very close by.
Then you'd need to gauge whether they'd like that before you suggest.
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@Classified I'll try 🐿️
Classified · M
@JupiterDreams You can do it. 😃

depends on context i'd say, for example during a pandemic waiting longer is more acceptable
That comes down to both people agreeing to it after passively implying the idea 👀
Take as long as makes you feel comfortable, and just be up front about it.
I'd say maybe 6 months
