My niece is a meat-eater and her partner is a vegetarian.
I have a work colleague who is vegan and his wife and kids eat meat.
I have a friend who eats meat and his wife and daughter are vegetarian.
So...I think the answer is yes.

They can. Will that relationship be a good relationship? I don't know.
How could the vegetarian ever truly respect a partner who doesn't align with their own morals?
I guess if they are vegetarians for reasons other than believing it's animal cruelty to eat meat, it could work.

My mom is a pure vegetarian, where as my father is Non-vegetarian. My elder brother is vegetarian whereas his wife and children are non-vegetarian. And we never had any dispute in this regard. It's just about accepting one's personal eating preferences.
