Why it is so hard to make friends online?

@ItsDanny: well, that's why you can't make friends here. Do you have real life friends?

It's very hard to click, be interested in becoming friends with some who thinks that you're probably trash, because you're on the internet. I start with the premise that everybody is good. Eventually the trash takes its self to the block box, but I don't expect the rest to be bad, too. I just enjoy talking to people. I don't expect anything from anyone. I don't have hopes, so I'm never disappointed.

@ItsDanny: I think you have to try two things. Hard to do, because they are contradictory, but, you need to raise your opinion of people on the internet. We aren't all trash. Second, you need to lower your expectations for fast friends online. Even the friends you do make, could be great, wonderful, even, but that doesn't mean it will be an enduring, lasting friendship. Life, real world life, has a way of interfering with online friendships. I've had some really great friends online, but life took us away from each other. My computer died, and I disappeared for a year and a half, and when I came back, several of the people I called friend had also disappeared. That's life. Enjoy what you find, and when it ends, just save the good memories.
