No. Don't ever regret expressions of love. It's not your fault they didn't know how to appreciate a good thing. As for you give freely and have no regrets. Much love💕

@coppercoil: Stay sweet and caring and you most importantly. Don't worry about the rest of it. Just love and live your life and the fear will naturally cease to exist. This is very liberating💕 Much love💜💙💗💕

@TheLoveAge: thanks so much :)

@coppercoil: You're welcome

When the person I hugged had barbecue sauce on their shirt, yes.
LadyWioness · 56-60, F
Oh no! Time to shout it out lol
KingofPizza2 · 36-40, M
Hahaha yup! I eventually got it out, don't know how the sauce dropper fared though.

Omg just recently.

I was meeting clients for the first time, potential bride and bride. Here I am, progressive liberal in the Deep South, wanting to be extra obvious they are welcomed, I go for a hug when I say hello.
The butch of the two froze like ice. It was so bad and awkward. What was I thinking!!???!!??
Coppercoil · M
Yeah similar situation here.. cultural norms got tangled with the individual momemt and I went auto piolet. But AL least it was a hearty hug.. not a squishy one.
Yes, it was a boa constrictor. Bad idea.
LadyWioness · 56-60, F
Ughhh, yes. 30 years ago, my ex husband's neighbor grabbed my butt
Coppercoil · M
Ooops!
LadyWioness · 56-60, F
@coppercoil: he got oops upside his head with a black eye lol.
Coppercoil · M
@ZenLioness719: lol
SW-User
Why would you regret it?
Coppercoil · M
@Serendipitous: it was.. I was 100 percent friendly.. no funny business.. I just second guess myself.
SW-User
It sounds like you shouldn't... If the hug was well-intentioned, and it was in this case, then focus on the positives, like that you must be a warm and friendly person.
Coppercoil · M
@Serendipitous: thank you :)

Yes two weeks ago

Yes, mine was with a guy that turned out to be a creep.
Coppercoil · M
@InfiniteBlue: sorry to hear that :(
SW-User
Thanks, it was really awful at the time. I guess he thought a hug = we were soul mates. I did not feel the same way.
DanielChristensen · 46-50, M
LOL yeah, I guess so. Or a handshake.
Coppercoil · M
I've had awkward handshakes.
DanielChristensen · 46-50, M
Yeah. I agree with TheLoveAge in spirit I just mean when good intentions go wrong. :D Like when I shook the hand of this redneck dude sitting in his truck in a corncob hat or whatever and eventually I was like, I am gonna need that hand back. I don't mind if the hand comes back aching a bit as long as you let go. Its shake hands, not hold hands!
Coppercoil · M
@DanielChristensen: haha

No. Hugs are good.
Never. I've regretted being too shy to hug a few people, though. 😇
Yes
On my last day of work when I was leaving to have my first child my (male) manager hugged me, then put both his hands on my bump
Coppercoil · M
Eeek!
