Shouldn’t have doesn’t come into it. You can’t help who you have a crush on. It’s what you do, or don’t do about it that may be inappropriate.

Well, "shouldn't" is a pretty damning statement. I can't say that they were all that wrong for me or I for them. They just were attracted to complete idiots and ended up shooting themselves in the foot for it.

Maybe things would've been different with me, but it's hard to write revisionist history from someone else's point of view. It's just hard to maintain a crush after you've been passed up as an option
