My mom was 40 when she married a 27 yr old. It only lasted 5 years.

It's not impossible to have a long lasting marriage with a much younger/older person...but it's a lot less likely to work.

Four of us in high school later married and my husband was 8 years older. My three friends married men who were 20, 23 and [b]40[/b] years older.

Mine was the only marriage that failed. The first and third ended in widowhood, the second is still going strong. All evidence indicates all three were good, strong unions.

It would make no difference what I think they are adults . They make their decisions,they should know more about what they like than somebody trying to run their love lives for them.
