Realize that the person you think they are in your mind is not who they are in reality. In your mind, they love you back, but in reality they give 0 shits. So the person you thought you were crushing on, doesn't really exist.

typically I pull the air brake right away, and if it's not too late, I throw it in reverse and back up, and off of them.
