Attractive?
When he tells you you are attractive or (very) but not pretty or beautiful...what does this mean?
Men: is it just an adjective?
Woman: do you find it insulting?

Attractive is a physical description. Beautiful is a description of not only your looks, but what makes you beautiful as a person. Or maybe he just doesn't know the difference.

Years ago I was sitting next to a man on an airplane who was older than me. I wasnt 21 but he lied to the stewardess that I was of legal age to drink. We were drinking vodka and he was trying to get me to get off of the plane and have some "fun" with him. I declined as I was on my way to see my boyfriend and not interested in him at all. But here's what I find so funny. He said to me "you know you're really attractive but you're not a knock out"! LOLOLOLOL So maybe it's a good thing I didnt get off the plane. 🤣🛩️

Wait a minute. I need clarification... did he literally say the phrase "you are attractive but not pretty or beautiful"? Or did he refer to you as "attractive" rather than call you "pretty" or "beautiful"?
@Gemini16 oh ok. Gotcha. That's how I interpreted it but from reading the comments I think others may have interpreted it the other way.
For me, attractive means more than looks. It's about how I feel around a woman. If she fills me with a sense of desire then I would say shes attractive. I've found some women to be pretty but utterly unattractive. I've also found women that are less than ideal on the pretty factor but that i am wildly attracted to because of our chemistry.
So for me, attractive is a pretty big compliment.

@Gemini16 yes, it's usually a warning sign (not that they might be interested in me anyway) as I ask myself why don't I find d you attractive...
It can be just an adjective, sometimes how it's said can tell more than what is said
