Do you hate it when people say "thats just your opinion"?

Only when they disregard proven science. That's just borderline blasphemous, that.

You can often trigger religious people by responding to their claims with "well, that's just your opinion."

I think it depends on how the situation is being handled.

Only if they asked me for my opinion.
I hate it when people ask me what I think and then argue it with me.
I don't mean discuss, bringing up points and sharing ideas. The comebacks like " that's just your opinion" or letting em know I'm wrong and then filling me in on all the information I had no idea about - and then letting me know how stupid I am because of all the facts they did not share from the start - They make me tired.

If I've given convincing proof and they say that... then yeah.

It's not the most tactful,but if it is than it is.
