How can u hate and love at the same time ?

Hating a few habits while loving a few

It's a feeling called ambivalence.

Emotions are like music notes. They don't make the same "sound" all the time. They change often and depending on what is current on ones mind will determine their feeling. I just accept what feeling I am having at the moment. And I know the next moment I will feel something different.

I would well imagine any destructive addiction must be like that. I certainly have known people in recovery describe it that way.

By having conflicting feelings about something or someone. There are things you love and things you hate about it or them.

There's a show in Ireland called love/hate.
They are scumbag druglords!
Ya love them and hate them.
