Is it now considered rude to ask someone what they do for a living on a date?

I have a friend who says that dating etiquette has changed and now men see this as pushy, intrusive, or golddigging. I always thought it was a common first date question. Is this a Millennial shift I'm not aware of?

I think it's ok as a question, but once i went on a date and within 5 minutes she'd asked me what i did for a job, did i own my own home, where did i see myself in 5 years etc.. that was too much i thought.

The dreaded Millennial shift 😱 Idk I'm not at all ashamed of what I do,and it is a fairly big part of your life .....and maybe it will help weed out the golddiggers loking for the next Warren buffet😁
