Set them free?

If you were being held captive with someone you are madly in love with and find out there is a way to set them free but not you, would you do it? Knowing you would never see them again? Or keep it to yourself and have them chained with you in torment?

well if it was me even unchained i wouldnt leave (if i got set free)
if i could set the other one free, then of course but in hopes they came back to rescue me
