I left Navy active duty because of getting married. I would say one out of seven work because of the long deployments. If there are children it puts an undue burden on the mother.

I have a friend who was married at 19.
He was in the Marines and made it up into a higher rank (I think he’s something beyond Sergeant).
Anyway, 7 children, and a happy home. Him and his wife were last living in Germany, but now live in Texas ☺️
They’ve been through it, but are together still.

Most of the time, no it doesn't work ...a lot of people marry into the military for the benefits

The odds are against them because of the time away and the immaturity still with being so young.

I'm not married and not in the military... But, the reality is you're making a decision about the rest of your life when you've hardly started it and basically know nothing about life yet.... Yes, sometimes young love can weather life, but I think life is stacked against it.

Not recommended at an early age.

26 years and counting. We met in the military, stayed together (even after a year being separated), and married after we were out of the service. We've actually been together 36 years.
I wouldn't say usually but it can be hard for some people to be apart for so long.. Its not for everyone ..

Almost any marriage ends badly if they married that young.

You get used to being apart, harder when they come home haha 😂

Honestly I say it’s about 50/50.

I would assume so.
