Would you become involved with a mentally unstable person?

For instance, someone with bad clinical depression who is pinning their happiness on you 😟
No. That isn't healthy for anyone.

I've been clinically depressed, and I knew I wasn't in a good place to be in a romantically involved relationship. It didn't make me less worthy of love, but it didn't mean people should sacrifice their own mental health for my sake, either.

It'd be hard not to because they are only human to plus no one tells u they're mental state when u meet (unless it's clearly obvious). Hopefully it'd help them in some way. As long as it didn't mess me up. I'd be friends with such a person. And been with such a person only to find out about demons in their lives later on down the line.

Yes, because I've been there and relate.

I wouldn't want to be in that kind of situation, because that is a lot of pressure and a heavy burden to bear, being solely responsible for someone else's happiness. I would give it a shot if I truly cared about the person, but would probably get burnt out real quickly.

[c=#7700B2]I have "bad clinical depression" so yeah I wouldn't judge another who has it and if I could in anyway make someone who has it happy, I would be all for it.. depression sucks ass[/c]

No. That's a recipe for disaster. People need to fix themselves before getting into relationships and fucking up other people's lives.

There is only room enough for one mentally unstable person in all of my relationships and that person is me! Jk I have lots of friends from rehab!

Why not? If I deserve this person's trust and I can help, it's my honor.

That is a very difficult situation to be in.

I wouldn't wish for it but who knows

Well, the thing is, no one can be responsible for your happiness. But I have depression myself, so I'd be a hypocrite if I judged. I'd give it a shot but would nudge then into considering treatment.
