Do you feel happy when your friend marries a foreigner which is totally different from your perspective?

I feel so happy for my friend from my college same batch gonna get married to a US girl.This will be some simple news for most of the people but for our friend group it’s a surprise. We have seen only in YouTube or movies kneeling down to propose and he did that and kind of feeling funny about it and we were making fun of him over the conference call.
