I have loved a lady that is my friend for a long time. At first we were co workers then friends then friends with benefits. She moved out of state and got remarried to her X hubby and he really fucked her up mentally. She moved back about 3 years ago and I have told her how much she means to me and that I even love her. We are still friends to this day and I see her and she can tell by my eyes and actions that I still have strong feelings for her. I just hope that one day she will come around and see that I will never stop and that I will never treat her bad.

Yes you can't because in the end they'll always have feelings for someone else and pretend to have feelings for you. Been in that situation and it hurts as hell
