Why do people cheat? What do you think of cheating?

So many reasons.
Not happy in their existing relationship..
But can't break up no backbone!
Love the Sneakiness and excitement.
Feeling down and depressed their partner makes them insignificant so they try and get affirmation else where!

People cheat because of loneliness, laziness, insecurity, ego, greed, any of those factors or a combination of them. There is rarely ever a legitimate reason to cheat when you are free to just walk away and be single. Nobody says that it should be simple for you to do so but you should lie in the bed that you made or you should change beds.

Edit: I read so many disgusting posts on Reddit where there's a huge page about adultery. Everyone in the sub condones cheating and it makes me feel sick to the stomach. Why would people do that to their spouse just because they're not getting their sexual needs met? They complain about their sex being "vanilla" but when they get what they want, they moan about "only being with their partner for their life" and regret wanting to explore more when they were younger. I reckon having the first experience with your first lover is amazing, rare and special . Sadly people only care about what they're missing out on, showing that theyre polygamous when they signed up for a marriage that is meant to be monogamous...

Not being satisfied and being bored on the current relationship for some it's the curiositical feeling of being he tabooish person for some it's a requirement

They cheat because they are selfish and don't care, bottom-line.

there are as many reasons why as there are people who do. sometimes someone makes a mistake, sometimes it isn't a mistake. people are just who they are at a given time. sometimes they stay the same sometimes they change from day to day.

They cheat because they are committed beyond what they can endure.

I think they should have the internal fortitude to be honest with themself and their partner and end the relationship.

Because they lack integrity! They possess absolutely no personality whatsoever, no character, no moral fibre and are often un-washed with the hygene of a sewer-rat.

Dissatisfaction, boredom, retaliation, etc. Some people do it for the most pettiest of reasons. I abhor it.

They want out of their current relationship -could be one reason
