How long would you stay married to someone whose ACTIONS tell you they don't want to be married?

4meAndyou · F
It took me a very long time to go from happy and loving my husband to...what's wrong with him? Then...I don't actually HAVE a husband, I have an abusive control freak alternating with periods of extreme neglect, and finally, the realization that he didn't love me at all. I fought it all the way. I dragged him to counseling, and I even tried to reconcile with him after our divorce. No one could have tried harder. We're talking a lot of time after it started to go south.

As long as it would take the courts to undo it. I don't want to force anyone to be with me.

If I talk to them and they don't want to change or even get counseling turn them loose...
maintain your composure through out the process. it might be a benefit in the end

Until the kids are 18

That’s what I am doin.. because I love them soooooo much I would do anything for them. Even sacrifice my own happiness

@lost213 How does sacrificing your happiness help them? Children can see when their parent(s) are unhappy.

Don’t get me wrong I care about my wife and I love her. But it’s not the kind of love that a married couple should have. It’s like a love for a friend. My kids and I are always happy when we are together.

Talk about it and watch for changes..if no change, end it!
I guess it would depend on what the ACTIONS were?

Well, people can change within time.

It depends on the actions, I suppose.

Not for an instant
