Trust your gut instincts or trust the person’s word?

An acquaintance of mine (20 or so years older than me) told me to visit him at his hotel room and promised that he would be a gentleman. I refused because my gut instinct told me so.

What would you do in such a situation 🤔

Even if you put your gut instinct away for a moment...this is very telling.
told me to visit him at his hotel room and promised that he would be a gentleman.
It comes across like a confession, lol. It screams guilt of his intentions.

Thank you. I’m learning many things late in life. Sometimes loneliness clouds my judgment but this time I’m glad I didn’t do something regretful

@solitaire I'm glad too ... You will lean many things while you journey through life...
gut. but I don't think I'd have the same concerns as you.

Did you want him to be a gentleman, or not?
Peaceful · F
Exactly what you did.
solitaire · 41-45, F
Yeah. Last year this same man made the exact same promise and I trusted him. He pulled me towards him and things got a bit physical. I told him that this will not happen again.
Was supposed to meet him for dinner but I changed my mind when he told me to go to his hotel room. Also my dinner plan was shattered because he was insistent that he wanted to have dinner at the hotel (part of his package). I ignored his calls and messages.
Next day he again invited me for a coffee at the hotel but I ignored him.
I might not hear from him again but I was upset and emotional about the situation.

@solitaire sounds like Harvey Weintein's playbook. 😨
