Have you ever known someone in a physically abusive relationship?

Did it kill you to see them trying to survive in it?

SO MANY!!! When I worked for HAWC (help for abused women and children) Some I helped escape, some I couldn't...I had to leave that job...sucked the life out of me seeing those women with black eyes and in casts...go back to him.

My younger sister's ex husband. I called him a pussy and asked him if he likes hitting girls because he has small dick syndrome.
He wanted to fight me....I said I can't have him press charges when I beat his ass so let's go to the Jiu Jitsu studio so that when I beat his ass it is now a sparring accident. I dislocated his shoulder

I had a friend years ago. She actually kept it a secret. I found out a couple years later. I felt horrible that it was going on and I didn't figure it out.

Yes. After about 6+ years of it. I eventually had to cut myself away from them. I couldn’t live with the idea of seeing them in a coffin, knowing I was a part of normalizing their toxic relationship. I got a lot of shit for doing that & really still do. But sometimes you can’t help & when it becomes too much, you have to worry about yourself too.
Never doubt that you did the right thing. Standing by while someone isn’t ready to break the cycle is normalizing the dysfunction whether people are aware or not.@Mrsbetweenfatandfit

@AnonymouslyYours thank you for saying that. You’re the first person comment but to not insult me when I’ve said it.
