why do girls hate hopeless romantic guys

I personally don't,
it's just a lot of those "hopeless romantic guys" turn out to be NiceGuys™ or just come off as a little too clingy or needy, which I don't have the emotional strength to handle.

What I'm saying is, I'm fine with my s/o being hopelessly romantic with me because I'm hopeless romantic too, but if anyone else does it, it just becomes annoying since I have no interest in them.

Maybe because in most cases deep emotional connection takes time. Romance may be a little sickly to someone early on. Everyone's different though I guess

In my experience they become this way over girls who aren't interested and then they read too much into the simplest things, and get hurt when they are rejected. I prefer a man who will just tell me whats up and none of this romance bull shit.
