Why is being in a relationship so important to some?

I can tell you that most of the women I meet, feel they aren't worth anything unless they have a man in their lives. It's a sad way to live IMHO.

It is for those who don't have any identity or goals of their own or are filled with insecurities, it becomes as important as breathing. There's nothing wrong in being in one. I'm in one, but I never looked for one. If today I break up, I still won't look for one. I have great goals in life and my life or happiness is not dependent on who I'm with. I'm happy with her, that's because I'm a happy person in general and that makes her happy too.

So they can get laid without the guilt and shame.

For me I need someone who supports and believes in me, because some days I feel really down wish if I had someone to stand with me throw the dark times
