Have you ever dated or married an asian guy?

I am asking this because from what I have been experiencing they seem to want to take things far and fast.
I met a guy not so long ago and he says he wants to introduce me to his parents and he is speaking about marriage and to me that is going fast.

As an Asian guy, yeah that dude is taking it too fast but thing is he might get pushed to do so by his parents, asian parents are really family oriented and kinda want their kids to settle fast in order to have their priorities straight. so basically it might not be his idea, but his parents. just ask him if it comes from him or some exterior force.

@Dancingxghost I thought the same as well and later he told me his parents wanted him to start a family. He said he also wants to start a family before turning 30.
Dancingxghost · 36-40, M
@Alic3ack well yeah that's the family thing talking, might not be the right thing do as you know each other so briefly. but at least he knows what he wants.

my sister dated an asian guy, he was literally the only bf i ever approved of but he was so stereotypical as he bought her nothing but jade jewelry for some reason and i would make fun of how asian he was for that lol

@xSharp I like guys that are secure enough to make fun of themselves.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Jazzy yup, a cool dude to be sure

I dated a Japanese American woman for a while and I don't think the culture is gender-specific when it comes to things like this.
Family is a very big deal. As is marriage and locking in a future. I was able to dance it around for a while but it wasn't long before we had 'the talk.' In my case, that prompted "the walk." So while life is always a case by case thing, in general you're not just dating the person - you're dating the family too. Don't know your situation but you may want to draw your line in the sand now because I bet more pressure will come. It might not even be what he wants but what his parents want. It's an awesome culture but they do things a bit differently.

Everyone is different, you can’t go by race.
If someone is moving too fast, tell him or end it....regardless of his nationality/ancestry.
Yes, I’m married to a British-Japanese man.

We didn’t get married right away, after we met. We were dated for 8 years, before we got married last year.

Just be careful not to rush into marriage, if you are not ready.

I have a friend. She told me that her mom’s friend wanted her to marry her son, without knowing each other. It’s kind of rush into marriage.
When I tried to force myself to date men I did.

No, for that specific reason. I'd run. Fast. Far away

I did in high school. He was Japanese and super shy. I wanted him to kiss me but he never did.

Was your Asian guy Japanese too?
Alic3ack · 31-35, F
@Jazzy nope he is from China.
Jazzy · 26-30, F
@Alic3ack He fell in love at first sight. 😍
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
Don't let it go fast as life is not game that one can play again if lost!
These are important decisions so take them slowly when you feel its time!
SW-User
It means he is clear, determined and want to legalise relationship
Alic3ack · 31-35, F
@SW-User but we havent met each other that long...
SW-User
@Alic3ack Since how long have you been meeting?
Alic3ack · 31-35, F
@SW-User a month
That is ridiculous. You're going to marry me....right??
Alic3ack · 31-35, F
@anythingoes477 we will discuss that at dinner not now.
@Alic3ack Pick you up at 6. If the Asian dude calls them him to get bent..you're mine.
Married a man who was half Japanese.
Alic3ack · 31-35, F
@CereBellum But you married right away?
@Alic3ack ummm, not really. Got pregnant right away though.
Yeah that's lightning fast
PrivatePeeks · 26-30, F
