Would the world be a better place if women returned home to take care of house and family and men were the only ones to work?

Just stirrin the pot!

The world would be a better place if women could do what they wanted for work, or stay home, without being criticized. From my experience (I stay home with the kids) I don’t get any shit from men about staying home, it’s the women who work who try to make me feel bad for not bringing in any income.
@amk22 That’s unfortunate. Women need to let other women alone. My mother had a career and it was other women who thought she needed to stay home with us, too.

@bijouxbroussard well now it seems to be the opposite!
No. Women who want to stay home and can afford to do it, should be able to. Women who seek to have both careers and family should be able to do that as well. Obviously some were dissatisfied with being homemakers, or only women who had to would work outside the home. Incidentally, men should have those same choices without being criticized, as well.

@bijouxbroussard this is a good point, and let’s not forget what constitutes women who CAN stay home because the family can afford it..... my husband works two jobs, we survive just fine but aren’t going on many vacations, and not shopping at the mall. Hell I don’t ever get new clothes or anything unless it’s my bday or Christmas. Not everyone is willing to sacrifice those things. And not every woman WANTS to stay home. It’s incredibly stressful, that’s for sure. If I had my husbands day job I would have it a lot easier.... then again I don’t have the pressure of making sure bills get paid. It all ends up working out.
@amk22 It’s good that your family has a system that works for you all.

It will be like a modern 18th century. Don't know if it will be better or not. With all this advancement in technology, I don't know how that would work. Staying at home isn't not a thing for everyone.

The wold would be a better place, if people are free to do what they want. Women included. People should be free to explore what they're passionate about.

This is how it works in my family as well as my sister's family. It is what work for us. Granted I make some side money from home but still.

No. I like when a woman can go out and be an equal to that of any man

I am not a cook ... so I wouldn't have contributed

One income families are great no matter which gender is the breadwinner. But you need a radical wage overhaul to make that possible for anyone but the very top sliver of the income scale.

@QuixoticSoul Yes my husband works two jobs to keep us afloat but it’s worth it as far as both of us are concerned. It depends on what sacrifices you’re willing to make if it’s important to you to have a parent home instead of working.
No. The world would be a better place if people were ready to give up most material possessions in exchange for world environmental and sociological health.

Yes it would, but sadly it isn't financially possible anymore.

Only if they didn't nag

Hey, that works for some people. I don't put anyone down if they come up with an arrangement that works.
