What have you had to sacrifice in your marriage?

I didn't get to finish college. I've been at the same company for 15 yrs and essentially it would be stupid to leave due to work from home flex and I can't quit despite some serious mental health tolls it's taken as my husband wouldn't support me. I had to give up a friendship with my best friend who was male because my husband hated him. I wanted more than one kid but he only wanted one. I haven't had a dog in a year because he won't ok me getting one even for our kid with the impeding divorce. I've lived with a dog since birth [aside from the first year we owned our house he also refused to let me get one], so it's been pretty traumatic for me [they help my anxiety, our kid has had increased anx since the dog she had since birth died in January].

It took me waaay too many years to realize I sacrificed way more than my share and myself for that man, and several more trying to figure out how to exit my mess with him with minimal damage.

Sacrifice? I don’t think I’ve sacrificed anything. If anything, I’ve gained so much more than I lost.

Thankfully I haven’t experienced that yet
