It's how they were condition to receive gratification.

They don't like it.. they just get hooked in the process ... Its like drug addiction .. relationship is such an addiction too .. it becomes a ritual to fight and patch up and fight again .. and once they are apart for too long, they find trouble to resume the relationship ..

Because they were raised in that environment. The repeated mental stimuli is a comfort that is familiar to them. :/

Perhaps they are far more hopeful to see the light outside that dark tunnel & are gifted with more than normal a tolerance level.
