Is it completely impossible to wish your ex a happy birthday without making her or him feel sad, bad, angry, or any other negative emotion?

Why would you wanna greet an ex a happy birthday? Unless you became friends after the breakup.

@eunlee I didn't magically start hating her when we broke up. I'm not going to describe anything about our relationship, out of respect for her, but I don't have hostile feelings towards her. I still care about her general well-being. So I do hope she has a happy birthday. I just wonder if telling her I hope she has a happy birthday might actually make her have an unhappy part of her birthday, in which case I wouldn't want to do that.

I don't know...I don't wish her happy anything.
If it causes drama then just stay out of it. It's just a birthday, it depends on the ex if they are nice in nature they'd not cause drama over something that simple.

Wait wait wait...someone has a birthday on the same exact day as my birthday!?!

@SW-User Someone does. Idk if your birthday is today or tomorrow or yesterday or July 12 or....

I guess it depends on the person and what caused the break-up in the first place.

I think if you're not in each-others lives, best to stay out, including on birthdays.

I guess not I wished him a happy birthday and all hell broke lose. Learned my lesson.
