My daughter used to have a big gray cat ,
We had a neighbor that if cat or squirrels strayed into his yard he shot them
so our cats were kept in a kennel ,ledges to lay on ,tree limb to climb and sharpen claws on and each their own house and litter box ,,it was not like roaming free ,but they were safe and well cared for .
But Grey was a sly one ,if he could slip pass my girls he was gone .
But they always knew where to find him ,he ran straight in the house and cuddled up next to me on the couch like they had when they were small .
When he got sick he was going down ,so the girls knew he loved me so they brought him in to lay with me ,,he looked up a meowed like he was saying goodbye and he passed away ,,we had a dog that did the same thing
I try not to let myself get to attached to pets anymore
When you have buried as many loved ones as I have ,,you don't need to be grieving over pets too ,,,,but the real good ones ,,,I do miss them
