Thoughts on long distance relationships?

And I dont mean from one state to another I mean from different countries and time zones.
I used to believe it could happen if both parties had enough motivation and the feelings were strong but my opinion has changed and now I am not so sure it could be authentic.

It can but there must be a way to finally be in eachothers arms

It can potentially work out, but I think it's pretty rare for a relationship like that to do so.

I’ve had those, and the feelings were real on both sides, but unless one or more parties has enough money to relocate or relocate their partner it’s an attempt in vain.
SW-User
Tried that for 3 years. Thought it could have worked if both parties stay invested

It depends on the person and what they look for/get out of a relationship. I think that most of the time, long distance relationships are wishful thinking. It comes down to being honest with yourself about what you really want, and whether or not a long-distance relationship can provide that for you (which is a level of honesty that in my experience not a lot of people are willing to give to themselves).

doesnt work .. brings a lot of pain and sorrow.. better to be avoided..

It can work with the right people, but both have to be okay with it. Usually there is one person who can't handle it.

@SW-User Exactly, that's what I mean. There's always going to be someone who is more invested than the other.

It is possible!
