How can you tell your crush that you like him for so long?

I have a crush. Don't know if he likes me back but he treats me special like he suddenly held my hand while I'm in front of the computer doing my stuff. He also says that he has a crush on someone similar to me. And he asked me out just to tell his story that he plans to write.

you just have to build up the courage and ask. you can write a note if it makes it easier. most people just flirt and through flirting they know you like them, I suck at flirting plus it could get me fired at work.
