Does anyone else think that question is weird?

How can you love someone else if you can't love yourself?

Like, how does one thing even correlate with the other?
What's supposed to stop people who simply don't feel positive about themselves from developing feelings for others? 馃

you won't believe their love if you don't feel lovable, which means you don't trust them

@Emosaur They will at first but your own insecurities will either make you hide things from them or your constant questioning of whether they love you will drive them away. I don't know that it always applies but it is apparent in most relationships.

I think it's more about honesty than love.

How can you love (or even be honest with) someone else when you cannot be honest with yourself?

How do you know that you're not clinging to that other person to satisfy your own insecurities?

if you can't love yourself then trying to love somebody else is work. there are always the downsides.
