Is online flirting considering cheating

I think it is but let's have a debate anyways
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
It's borderline.

I have a general rule on this. If you can't tell your partner you are doing it for fear of a fight or someone getting upset, you probably shouldn't be doing it.
@SumKindaMunster Frankie,Frankie.. touche' you got me. I have run out of things to say... I thought we we're just having a few laughs but I digress. Your mood swings are throwing me off. I didnt recognize your previous "impersonation" of me as an attempt of flattery when you threw my own words back at me(run along),that probably hurt your sensitivity issues again.. I apologize.. one day you'll grow up and understand these things but for now .. we've come to a cross roads... I'll let you be lil guy...

I would say it depends. If the persons partner would not care or knows, then no, but if it is going to bother the partner and the person is sneaking the flirting, then yes.
Flirting with a personal intent of being extra nice and complimentary is definatly not considered cheating IMPO.
But when flirting with pure references to the sexual nature is an attempt to go the next step.Possibly. Now flirting with description of sexual desires onto one another is indeed cheating. The only thing left would be the action in the physical sense because sexual gratification has already been reached in your mind .

I'm jus say'n

@AgapeLove that makes sense and puts flirting at different levels if you're building up to more.
How many levels would that be? Let's say 3.
1. Being extra nice to one another with alot of eye gestures and smiles.

2. Complimentary and doing favors for eachother with more contact like standing extra close and whispering.(plus everything in level 1)

3. (1+2).. now here is where the flirting has definatly made its undeniable appearance and sex is already entered the relationship though the eyes and body language or through text and cheating is the case!

so...

Keeping a steady level one would not be cheating.
I always say it depends on the agreement between the couple and if both partners can do the same thing without the other being upset about it. I don’t say anything to a married man that his wife couldn’t be reading over his shoulder. 😇

The way I see it, if you have to hide the fact that you're doing something behind your partner's back, then it's probably not allowed and is, therefore, considered cheating. And even if it doesn't fall under the definition of "cheating", it still doesn't sound morally correct to be doing something behind your partner's back when you know full well they would dislike it.

Imo if its something you’d hide from them it’s definitely cheating
yes it is cheating, same thing if your man was lirting in person

I think there is such thing as toxic monogamy and being quick to label flirting as ‘cheating’ seems to me to be an example of it. Plus, being able to flirt with others is often good for a relationship, since it keeps your partner from having to be the sole source of validation for you. It’s just important to be up front about it.
Depends on how you look at it I would consider cheating to be physical contact with another person online flirting isn't physical it's just words but at the same time it shows that the person has the intent to cheat so yes I guess it could be considered cheating if you are thinking it
SW-User
well I think my wife would consider it cheating if I'm caught flirting, so yes..sort of
ashleydaprincess · 26-30, F
@SW-User I think it is but I'm not sure in a way if you understand what I'm saying
SW-User
@ashleydaprincess please explain then
ashleydaprincess · 26-30, F
@SW-User most people would consider it cheating but I'm a way it's not like your actually meeting up with them or fucking them
SW-User
Is that even a question to be asked or even to be debate on it? The society has move this far :/ - Glad you consider it cheating.

Well if real life flirting isn’t cheating, and I don’t think it is, then I don’t think online flirting can be either
SW-User
Visualizing isn't cheating. There's no physical contact. I'd say it's just pointless, and possibly harmful if discovered.
Yes its a fact that its cheating, It is a different form of cheating i dont understand why people say its not when its a fact...
SW-User
I think that you shouldn't approach anybody and display interest that is romantic or sexual in any way if they are not your partner
SW-User
It is if the partners agreed that it is. To me it would be.

If you can't tell your partner it's cheating
