I'm a lot older than her so the high school identification I do not make as you do. But she tells her stories, in song and video so well (like the bruised and raw face in "Girls Like Girls" it is hard not to relate to her!

@blasphemy666 well unfortunetly not every women or man for that fact can be gay, as much as I enjoy seeing two beautiful women together it’s just not realistic , I get that love is love and all that and I’m not judging , but yes it would be nice to see people being openly flirtatious.

@Highonheels it's not realistic because people are socialized into acting certain ways. I'm not saying this because I'm bi but because I've been observing female friendships all my life and the number of times I've seen their relationship swing between "just" friendship and romance is insane.
