18-20 year olds might not be the best age group for sharing your secrets with. I’ve had more success commenting with contemporaries as we have more common ground.

@LyricalOne :< not always true ;)

He probably has other accounts on here

Yes it is very sad.Don't be mad.Its heart breaking.
JerseyGal · 51-55, F
If I've gotten to know the SW friend, I am a mixture of both sad and a bit mad when this happens. 😔
Dewkissedrose · 46-50, F
@JerseyGal precisely. It's worse when they tell me they would never do that!
JerseyGal · 51-55, F
@Dewkissedrose Agreed. I do not believe anyone who says that any more. Happens too often.

Aww 🤗, I wanted to close mine but thought about the friends here and kept it.
BitterSweetPotato · 31-35, F
Sorry about that. Idk how close your were with her.. I'd feel devastated of one of my close friends left me like this, but if they are not that close, you should expect that they may decide leaving one day and won't consider it important to give contact info.
drymer · 56-60, M
@BitterSweetPotato That's the thing... I *thought* we were super close, we knew the deepest things about each other's lives, in my mind she was like my "best friend" even as we never met... and then *poof*... She did bother to send me a "goodbye gift", which was a nice gesture, but still...
😒😢
Mguinm · 51-55, F
@drymer Awww sorry about that. I've had it happen to me before.
BitterSweetPotato · 31-35, F
@drymer I guess sometimes we think that our feelings are mutual but the other person doesn't reciprocate. I know you must be feeling very bad, hope she comes back in the future 🤗 She is likely too, they all do!
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Same thing happened to me, man. Sucks.

Maybe one day they'll be back.
Dewkissedrose · 46-50, F
Happens a lot here. I feel your pain. :/
goagainsttheflow · 26-30, F
I think it's better to make real life friends. Online friends can delete an account & relationship just like that.
drymer · 56-60, M
@goagainsttheflow Actually, the funny thing is that, because we don't know each other in "real life", it's easier to open up about our lives and say things to each other we'd be wary to say in "real life"... I think we get to know "on line" friends better than real-life friends...
Dewkissedrose · 46-50, F
@drymer I believe this too.
Peaches · F
If she was much younger she may have out grown you, who knows why they leave.😕She must not have felt the same. Maybe she'll show up later.
drymer · 56-60, M
@Peaches
Maybe she'll show up later.
She did, a couple of weeks ago...
🙃
Peaches · F
@drymer Oh!😄 Yaaaay!🎉🎈🍀
Indy74 · 46-50, F
I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. Maybe things just happen for a reason. Hang in there.
drymer · 56-60, M
@Indy74 Life if full of disappointments isn't, it? Makes us stronger... But I'm glad to say we got back in touch again a few weeks ago...
;)
