What is the foundation of love for you

Peaceful · F
Mutual trust, willingness to be vulnerable with one another and supportive even with stuff that make's one another uncomfortable...this is how we grow together. 💜
I am trustworthy.
I am honest with others.
I am generally very dependable.
I am loyal to the people I care about.
I am easily able to trust others.
I experience and express empathy for others.
I am able to be non-judgmental.
I am a good listener.
I am supportive of others in their good times.
I am supportive of others in their bad times.
I am self-confident.
I am usually able to see the humor in life.
I am fun to be around.

If I found this in one person...
@KingLionHeart if I could be this for her...
I will know for sure when I fall in love, and don't hurt myself.

So far my foundation of love has been terrible! 😖
The inherent belief that the universe is constructive and not punitive.

Companionship, trust, an respect...to me they are the three main building blocks of a solid relationship.

Okay, slight revision/addition: Communication, honesty, vulnerability, supportiveness, and deep friendship can all be added to the mix as well. All eight of these can make for a good and lasting relationship and marriage. (Thanks to all the ones who mentioned these🤠)

Trust, honesty, respect, communication.
Respect & trust are the two wheels for both the partners to remain steady.

@sspec that is so true
@Dayeshadow Yes, though a lot of other variables are to be worked upon to reach the trust element but then they say - Rome wasn't built in a day.

Mind blowing... connection, trust, friendship, kindness, lust/passion.

@Peppa Perhaps you do ( it took me 20 some years before it happened), but it's very possible it come happen sooner than you think or can imagine. You just have to keep your mind, heart, and eyes open. And don't be quick to dismiss someone just because they may not exactly fit your "ideal"...there have been many happy and successful relationships/marriages between people who would've never thought in a million years they'd ever fall for.

@indyjoe thank you so much for your words. Gosh... I think I've just been so eager. Honestly. :-)

@Peppa It's easy to do, believe me I haven't forgotten what it was like to be constantly alone and lonely...sometimes you almost feel desperate.😉
