Why is messaging here so underrated?

I really enjoy chatting with people and getting to know them better,that's pretty much the only way you could make friends online but here it seems like most people just like to stick with stories and questions only.

I don’t like to make small talk with someone I’m unlikely to ever meet and there a lot of strange people here. Conversations start off as talking about the weather and chocolate biscuits and the next you have unknowingly agreed to a gangbang.

Yeah... Personally I'm like the opposite. I like to interact on stories and questions because I think it helps get to know people better in an environment with less pressure. With messaging, you have to talk about random things but on questions and stories, you can talk about those
