What kind of punishment should be given to those men who cheat on their wives?

ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
This is going to be unpopular, but if someone is cheating there's great a reason why... Is true that some guys will just cheat because they can, but I don't think that is the majority of cases... Target than punishment, wouldn't it better to resolve what ever the problem is and to back to being who you both feel in love with?

And this applies equally to whoever is doing the cheating... Ok, resume, rant over!
@AgapeLove yea i dont like ben shapiro either. i used to like him because im also against modern day feminism but he just says some astonishing things degrading women.

but basically he implies women are all weak and men have to protect them.
I don't think that's a fair statement. there are many physically and mentally strong women and men don't have to protect them. if your not strong then you should be protected but he is making that decision based on stereotypes.
I would have to go back and quote him he also said something else I did not like regarding women again with stereotypes, I think he is just exaggerating how weak he thinks women are.

What about wives who cheat on their husbands? Shldnt all cheaters be treated the same? Depends on the couple & individual, some want justice others don't! I was in a relationship where I did cheat & by ex wanted me to pay for it but also he was very manipulative & I later found out he was cheating on me too. But he was really fucked off that I was with others but he wanted me to be ok that he was with others. Where's the justice in that?!

@Lostagain sleep with his mother
Lmao no I think not. Besides it was my mom who was a lesbian, not me or his mom. And if his brother comes near me again I will press charges.

@AgapeLove absolutely 👍
like federal punishment? the wife can do anything she wants as a punishment, for me it would depend on the situatuation, how they cheated and how i found out how long and who with. but generally it would be more like publicizing that he cheated on me, for me its not about getting back at the guy its about making everyone aware of it so no one gets into the same situation i did and if he enjoyed being publicized like that or dosent it does not matter to me. i would just make his name and that he cheated on me public i wouldnt post any pics or anything.

Who says anyone should be punished. Sex outside of the marriage is cheating, then you have open relationships, swingers, etc. Then you have men and women who use sex as a weapon to control their partner. I try not to judge anyone till I have walked a mile in their shoes. After a very early menopause, my wife refused hormone therapy and basically became abstinent. I am young enough to still have a pretty strong desire for sex, after a few years of no sex, I tried everything I could, I started getting it somewhere else. My punishment came before the sin, inflicted by the wife. What I do is good for me, I don't feel guilty even a little bit.

@Roadsterrider that's because you are a SELFISH little boy who cares only about his weenie and knows nothing about love or loyalty just like ALL filthy cheaters. You really suck and you CANNOT justify your behavior
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Divorce 😂 I mean what do you think should happen? Yes it sucks completely I understand but no one should be jailed or put to death or anything or the sort

Wife cheaters anonymous meetings.
They will receive all the punishment they can stand. My ex cheated and the woman he cheated with left him soon after he was free. His next woman that he married has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in every part of her body except her brain.

Loss of money and property. And half of any retirement. And a permanent member of the blue balls club. In other words, a divorce that goes her way.
@Crazywaterspring which typically happens in this situation.

Same as for woman who cheat, no real difference.
Divorce.
And a non physical (even if deserved) but emotional shot the cul.
Fernie · F
@CharlieZ that is irrelevant to the question Charlie...that's an insecure male answer
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@Fernie The "insecure" á la mode concept is as significative as water after you boiled the gnoquis in it.

Except if you say explicitely insecure about what, out there the mind.

What I´m exactly insecure about in the specific case of the question, given my answer?

I´m firmly secure about what I´ve said.

The "same as for women" would be irelevant if the formulated question had been "people who cheat on their SO"

But, as posted, "those men who cheat on their wives" seemed to asume that loyalty and betrayal are gender related.

Which is, to be gentle, THAT ONE an irrelevant distinction.

And being honest, beyond courtesy, is a biased prejudice that haves no respect from me.

Or your objection of irrelevance, my one, are for:

"Divorce.
And a non physical (even if deserved) but emotional shot the cul." ??

If so, I still stand for my answer.

Hugs.

@QuixoticSoul oh I am so sorry.
I am going nuts actually. Accept my apology.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@SW-User Totally no biggie. I take it this post is related to a personal situation? Huge bummer if true.
SW-User
@QuixoticSoul Fortunately not me.
Well they normally endup divorced paying alimony and losing most of their stuff including the house so....
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Callmewhatyouwill Divorce is just divorce, it's the same whether someone is cheating or not. Alimony tends to get paid to the lesser earning party, so if the wife makes more money she'll be paying regardless of who was cheating. Assets get split down the middle. Child support goes to the parent who keeps the custody. None of that has anything to do with who was cheating.
I feel like any guy who stays with a woman who caught him cheating must enjoy punishment. Loves negative attention.

sex prohibition that will be monitored by a microchip for 1/5 of the time they've been married. now what?
