We all look for the familiar, as much as we like to think we are choosing otherwise. It might not be in looks but there will be elements of our parents personality traits in the partners we choose.

i'm sure some might(it's been known to happen if they have a good father). but i personally like not dating men who won't throw me down flights of stairs or force me to smoke crack🤷
