Yes...my parents were that way. They weren't wealthy but Mom finished high school, went through training and became an x-ray technologist and later studied psychology; where Dad never finished high school (quit in 8th grade) and worked in a service station until he retired (mostly for minimum wage and no benefits at all). Most of what we had was because of Mom.

Yes. A woman medical doctor in my neighborhood is married to a man who mows lawns for a living.
