Argument and Conflict

I am afraid of arguing and discussing serious matters with my girlfriend because I fear that I will hurt her feelings or upset her and jeopardize the relationship. How do I healthily and respectfully approach conflict in a romantic relationship?

When you see the discussion is moving from a discussion to an argument, better leave it before it gets too hot.

You may try change the topic to some topic that she likes and you don't know anything/much about it. This way you will be just accepting & agreeing to what she is saying; and she would be happy in the end of conversation/discussion. And you will also not have to compromise on your view point on the initial topic.

I think you should give her more credit in her ability to handle these things. You have to be yourself. As long as you can both present your thoughts with care and consideration you can work out any ripples that happen.
It is unfair to both you and her for you not to be able to be yourself.

@InvictusIndigo you are welcome.
Its good to mention that you would like to have a conversation about the topic so she dosnt think its an argument but more of a disscussion .. say that its been on uour mine and you would like you share your feelings on the matter . keeping things inside will only get worse

@MsAnnThropy Trying to transition from "Nice Guy" to Alpha without over-compensating and being too mean. Just want to be more assertive, not aggressive.
@InvictusIndigo Talk to her about it then. You just gotta go with your gut.
