Would u marry someone who is best friends with their ex ?

As in ex husband, or ex wife. I dunno if I would or not. This is a very tough question for me to answer because I have never been in this situation before. Does anyone here or can anyone here
relate to this at all. I wanna know what would you do in this situation. Would you marry someone who is best friends with their ex husband or ex wife.

Well I've been in a similar situation. I was friends with my ex-wife after we divorced because I like her and she is a great person despite the differences which seperated us. I had no intention of romantic involvement again , we just have a lot in common so being friends sounded cool.

However, when she got married again her husband started to freak out about that. I stopped visiting with her then for her sake. I do understand why he freaked because being friends with one's ex is not seen as normal. Also he can't read my mind and my intentions so he needs to be careful in order to protect his family.

If there is an afterlife where we no longer have physical bodies then I'll find her and say to her husband, "See here dude, I'm now here to be her friend and I don't even have a body. So I can't shag her even if I wanted to." ☺

I’d be fine with them being cordial but I’d kinda like the best friend title reserved for me.

@LyricalOne Hmmmmmmm. Thoughtful answer.

Nope. Couldn't do it. Been in a relationship with someone who remained best friends with their ex wife. It caused nothing but issues. Never again.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@JerseyGal Uh huh. Its not always the best move especially when its man being best friends with the opposite sex. Thank you. ☺
Food for thought: If they have children it's better if they remained friends so they could raise the children properly. :)

@Snowvixen I said best friends. That is where things differ when it comes to people.
I dont tell my friends things I would my best friends, or have the exact same level of trust. Do you get what Im saying.

Aren't we suppose to be best friends🤔
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Sarabee No. Im not married. But if I was and got divorced, and my wife hurt me really bad, I would not be best friends with her. No.
Sarabee · 41-45
@Zonuss it truly depends what if I said I must live in Antarctica n yu had a business in Nevada yu n I would split but remain good friends
