What would you do if your partner wasn't into the same things as you?

I have certain fetishes that...I don't really want to keep secret. I want to actually try these fetishes out with someone. But if my boyfriend's not at all into the idea...then I'm not getting my needs met. What should I do? What would [i]you[/i] do?

I can relate, i'm married with kids and have lots of strange fetishes. I just do them in private and nobody needs to know. It is getting harder to hide all my toys though. :)

Be honest with your partner. Some form of compromise.

A long term relationship could turn into long term resentment if your needs are habitually unmet.
