Does it matter how someone dresses to u in a relationship ?

Actually it does kinda matter to me. And its because of my level of comfort with that certain individual. If I don't feel comfortable with how she dresses then its just not for me. I wouldn't want like a biker dressed chick in a relationship. Or one who dresses like a streethawk. Or one who dresses like a devil worshipper or anything like that. Or one who looks like a nun. Nope, I do care. Do you.

Reflecting maturity and level of taste is important.

Just as is appropriate to occasion and position in life.

People that do not understand how people either relate to or are averted by inappropriateness in choice of garmentry while in the public view lack proper upbringing.

At home is one thing. Once she sets foot into public view I desire a reasonable accommodation to normative presentation unless there is some logical reason for the disguise or costume of the true everyday blending in with the public.

Yup.

@SteelHands Its not always the upbringing. Some people are rebellious by nature. They may have been turned out by an ex. Or they may be just an outlandish soul who decided on their own time how they wanted to be. A lot of good parents have some bad kids. ☺

@Zonuss having been a parent, myself, having been a rebellious youth myself, teaches that we all jump on the rebellion bandwagons of many kinds.

Rebellion isn't caused by bad parenting then but a permanent alienation of immature stagnation can happen if a parent trys to impose unjust control over their kids.

I don't like that when the societally alienated become aged and bring warped world views into the culture, often raising children with totally crap value systems , but they do happen.

Yet you can always hope that the next generation will see the error of their parents path and build a better map. Even if I do not subscribe to the "takes a village to raise a child" idea, in a few cases that's how some begin to find a better way to live.

Hopefully.

It does matter for me. But I am simple. As long as he is neat, clean and minimal, I love it. I love looking at Japanese men's and women's fashion. They are very minimalistic.

Well, not really. As long as they're not walking around town completely naked then all is well. I do however hate when they nag on me about what I'm wearing and they want tell me what to wear. Now that's a problem.

I don't judge or inhibit anyone's individuality. My main thing is hygiene and cleanliness.
