TRAFALGAR DAY [I Love History]

Today, 21st October 1805, Admiral Horatio Nelson defeated the combined Franco-Spanish fleet at the battle of Trafalgar.
Nelson, the one-eyed, one-armed, slight, frail, seasick admiral remains one of the great British fighting admirals after his series of naval victories.

@SW-User I'm never sure why historians call it the English Civil War when it was fought in Scotland, Wales and Ireland as much as in England. Really weird.

@SW-User Pretty horrendous I would think, with rival armies and their camp followers, plus the disease that armies carried in their wake. A bad period to live through, the 1640s and 50s.
