I Love History

Plaosan Temple Complex, Java, Indonesia.

This was built in 9th century during the reign of Sailendra Dynasty. One interesting Inscription on this temple located far away from mainland India reads that temple was built due to "constant flow of people from Gurjara desha".

This beautiful Javanese Temple indeed shares many features in common with contemporary Maitraka temples of Gujarat and Rock cut caves of western ghats. This inscription gives but one glimpse of how Indians brought their civilization to the far away lands of Eastern Asia.

Not to forget, that we did not loot them like the British, nor did we violate their women like the Mughals, nor did we forcefully convert them like Portuguese, nor did we claim their land.
We simply enriched their civilization by giving the best of ours into their culture.

@Pianist1234 I am an Indian descendant from Malaysia.Only recently I am rediscovering the accomplishments and the wisdom of my people , after believing in the lies that were perpetrated by the British about my people for a long time.

@berangere I am glad those ancient temples are still there and haven't been destroyed yet.
